I’m Christopher Moore, the Gun Loving Hippie Dad Who Fixes Stuff. I’m a writer, a father of five, a Marine Corps combat veteran, and a diesel mechanic in Grand Island, Nebraska.

For years I’ve diagnosed machines that weigh 80,000 pounds and contain enough computers to make a person question the existence of a benevolent God. A bad first guess can cost thousands. You test, follow the evidence, and admit when you were wrong. I try to bring that same discipline to writing about politics, work, belief, and people.

I registered Republican at 18 and left the party in 2022. I’m an independent now. I care about the Second Amendment, right to repair, voting rights, honest government, and the neighbor we’re constantly being told to hate. I won’t pretend either party has all the answers.

Here you’ll find reporting and opinion, shop stories, satire, personal essays, and questions about religion and consciousness from an atheist willing to investigate his own assumptions. Some pieces are funny. Some are heavy. All of them are mine.

I’m also the author of The Bipartisan Circus: How Clowns from Both Sides Keep Robbing the Concession Stand. I’m working on more books about politics, blue collar life, and the Abrahamic religions.
